SharePoint
Import documents from chosen SharePoint and OneDrive folders into the Evidence Locker, and questionnaires from SharePoint lists.
At a glance
| Direction | Into Aegis. Aegis only reads; it never changes or deletes anything in SharePoint. |
|---|---|
| What it brings in |
The files in the folders you add as
Evidence sources (optionally with subfolders); with a
Questionnaires schedule, questionnaires.
|
| Where it lands |
The Evidence Locker, as drafts awaiting
review, under the original file name with a SHA-256 and a link back
to the item. A source's Import mapping sets the
evidence type, validity, tags and linked controls.
|
| Credentials and permissions |
An app registration in your Microsoft Entra ID tenant (client ID,
client secret, tenant ID) with the delegated Microsoft Graph
permissions
Files.Read.All and Sites.Read.All and
admin consent. An administrator signs in once with
Authorize with Microsoft.
|
| Owner of imported records |
Whoever selected Sync Now or the source's
Sync. A scheduled sync gives the evidence to the person
who added the source or, if that account is disabled, the
longest-standing active Admin; with neither, the run fails instead
of importing unowned evidence.
|
| When it runs |
On demand (Sync Now, per source Sync, or
the API), or on a schedule under Sync Settings (see
Connectors). A schedule must name what
it imports: Evidence with one or more sources, or
Questionnaires.
|
| Set it up |
/connectors/sharepoint, by people allowed to configure
connectors, on a plan that includes the connector.

Good to know
- A file already in the locker is skipped. A file that changed after its evidence was approved comes in as a new version awaiting review.
- Deleting or moving a file in SharePoint leaves its evidence in the locker: the stored copy, not the link, is the evidence.
- Imported files count as uploaded by the connector, so the admin who synced them may approve them.
- A personal OneDrive folder is saved as a source only after you confirm its files may be imported as evidence.
Where this connects
Step-by-step setup, including the Microsoft sign-in error codes, is in Connectors. Imported files are reviewed in Evidence.
